In this game room, adjoining the entertainment room above, the antiqued leather finish was carried over and painted to look like peeling wallpaper (see trompe l'oeil detail, above right). The homeowner wanted an urban theme for the room, so faux cement block, using textured paint and trompe l'oeil techniques, was painted over the existing drywall, and graffiti was later added. |

The homeowner chose an unusual brecciated marble to be painted on the stairs and these columns. Though unique, the faux marble transforms the feeling of the room, and the addition of new wrought iron balusters completes the look. |
